Pathway to MBT Certification
7 Steps to Certification in MBT
Step 1. Completion of 4hr MBT Online Intro Course
Step 2. Completion of 3-day MBT Basic Course
Step 3. Clinical supervision with an approved MBT supervisor.
One of the Following
Option 1
- 4 Individual patients (minimum 24 sessions for each patient)
- Minimum of 4 hrs of clinical consultation with for each patient
- Three 15 min audio or video recordings from
Option 2
- 2 Individual patients
(minimum 24 sessions for each patient) - 1 Group
- Three 15 min audio or video recordings from 3 different sessions
- Minimum of 16 hours total MBT clinical consultation
Option 3
- 2 Groups
(minimum 24 sessions for each patient) - Three 15 min audio or video recordings from 3 different session.
- Minimum of 16 hours total MBT clinical consultation
Step 5. Completion of MBT Practitioner course
(note: recordings will be used during the course and evaluated by Professor Anthony Bateman
Step 6. 4 clinical write ups (1 per patient)
Step 7. Letter of recommendation from an AFC approved MBT Supervisor
